What people say about Happiness Forgets (Hoxton)
-
I had heard a lot about Happiness Forgets (Hoxton) from various lists of speak easies and best cocktail bars in London
-
I mean don't get me wrong the cocktails they do do are nice and the atmosphere is great especially since the place gets pretty packed on weekends
-
The good thing is you can always ask for any of the classics
-
The other bummer about the place is the food or the lack of it
-
This is one of the best cocktail bars in London
-
Probably not for everyone but that is a good thing
-
Not even that late but it was already packed to the rafters
-
After going I can see it is easy to quickly reach maximum capacity as the place is dinky
-
Both me and my friend had no idea what Remy Martin was and didn't manage to guess by the taste
-
The cocktails they were making with it seemed to suit either liquor
-
That's because it was neither it's cognac
-
Both cocktails were good one
-
More pedestrian cocktail was Remy mixed with ginger beer
-
I love ginger beer with alcohol and thought this combination was really good it was slightly thick and syrupy to drink
-
I'm not sure as I was getting quite squiffy by the end of it
-
We chatted with the guy when we came in
-
I don't know but it was nice to mingle and I believe the venue lended itself to such possibilities
-
I was happy to go back early one evening not too long after this and the place was just as good on my second trip
-
Happiness Forgets is a place where happy memories are made
-
Ginger juice with honey and a dash of plum brandy
-
Quaint cocktail bar with red ceiling lamps and tea lights on the tables
-
I wouldn't believe this as any famous nor nice bar at all if I weren't to be told that it was one of the 'best bar' in the world
-
Though the bartenders were really nice and they apparently invite bartenders all around the world as guest bartenders once in awhile
-
It's a dark and tiny bar with a short cocktail menu
-
The drinks themselves are cocktails at their finest and mixed to perfection
-
It is located on a basement and the atmosphere is very cosy with low light environment Excellent ambience music taste
-
The list of cocktails is very diversified in quality with about 10 15 options
-
A table booking it is recommended
-
I also feel some of the cocktails were very similar there wasn't much difference in the last two which he literally poured straight from the bottle into a glass
