E5 Bakehouse (Hackney)

• This little bakery/coffee shop (as they usually are in London) is tucked in a railway arch beneath London Fields station and serves amazing bread
• E5 Bakehouse is a great little bakery conveniently located not far from the Broadway Markets
• Most days the place is packed with locals and visitors alike getting their carb and coffee fixes
• Eggs on toast etc and also have a great variety of cakes and treats that are hard to pass up
• We came to pick up our bread for the week and chose a delicious multi grain loaf filled with seeds and nuts
• One day later and the loaf is nearly gone
• Nonetheless the bread was amazing so will definitely be back for that
• I also had a tea and a small apple cake which was equally tasty
• The indoor seating area is a bit small so it might be difficult to find a seat in a busy rainy day but the place is so cosy and you get to have a peek at what the bakery is up to
• Lunch and desserts in the evening these were absolutely amazing and I would definitely recommend it as a place to visit if you are interested in sourdough breads or in going to a nice cafe
• I respect the place even more after reading how they are contributing to building the lives of refugees (search for The Economist article I am unable to provide links with my review)
• The space itself is also great
• A veggie bun with two soft eggs was a perfect way to start the day
• Their coffee was also very tasty
• In layman term e5 bakehouse is the wonderful bakery really their baked breads are amazing and soft and delicious and mouth watering
