  • I had the tandoori chicken on the bone to start which was juicy and succulent

  • Then for main went for the lamb tali tikka massala which was very tasty

  • I've had some seriously dodgy tikka massalas in the past including one whose main ingredient was Heinz tomato soup but this was very good

  • Nicely seasoned and with a bit of a kick which I guess is what the 'tali' indicates

  • This was accompanied by pilau rice and a paratha which was particularly good

  • Some of my companions opted for the jalfrezi and commented that it was particularly spicy

  • Also of note was the lack of oil visible in any of the dishes which is not always the case with local Indian restaurants and made for a pleasant surprise

  • I was dining here with a friend to be told he's not coming back and I need to pay the bill as my friend ahs done a runner
