  • As usual the pancake rolls are simply amazing drizzled with a slightly spiced soya sauce with fresh coriander garnish on top

  • The crispy squid is different to anywhere else I've ever had it

  • The difference being is that it has a drizzled hot oil on top that is seasoned with red chilli coriander and garlic

  • Makes SUCH a difference to the squid served with sweet chilli sauce that has a big splash of soya sauce added to it

  • The main I opted for my usual (yes boring) spicy Vietnamese king prawn fried rice it's amazing the rice is yellowish in colour and has a mild to medium heat to it I think it's coloured using turmeric

  • Strangely served with sliced cucumbers and tomatoes around the edge of the plate

  • It works well with the flavour of the rice especially the cooling cucumber

  • The other main we had was pipi tofu which is tofu stuffed with minced prawns in a sauce I can only describe as being similar to oyster sauce but with a good hint of garlic and ginger too

  • That comes with boiled rice

  • Only reason I didn't give it a 5 was the waiters seem a bit inattentive at times

  • I went to Cafe Soya back when I was still a vegetarian and was overwhelmed at the choices

  • The staff were helpful and patient when we asked what certain things were and the food was quickly made and sent out to us

  • Tasty flavours are something anyone would appreciate

  • The food on offer is in abundance with lots of choices

  • The meat and non meat eaters with tofu and mock duck on offer

  • The seafood noodles were available with a range of different types

  • The prawn toast were first to come and then the mains were soon to follow

  • An extra plate and soya sauce (the other tables had it) this took several attempts by which time our food was cooling down rapidly

  • Once the cutlery had arrived we were able to eat our big portions

  • The venue itself is fairly big and able to house a substantial amount of people

  • The furniture inside was not thought about and is pretty basic

  • It is decorated with anything and everything

  • I have also been here for a work dinner and the place was perfect for 20 of us to sit and enjoy our meal

  • The prices are low and the quality of the food is fantastic

  • The atmosphere is made by the diners

  • I always took the spicy chilli paste as the accompaniment with this delicious fresh veggie and noodles dish
