Ay Caramba!! (Camden Town)

• Modello Negro on the ample drinks menu along with a great selection of tequilas taking in everything from Patron to individual Mezcal miniatures (worm included)
• My girlfriend and I were a bit late and found my mum and sister being well looked after by the friendly staff when we arrived
• The decoration is not what I'd choose for my house
• I'd say this is a cheap and cheerful restaurant where people can enjoy dinner if they are prepared to lower their standards a bit
• Some music styles that are very old fashioned in Spain
• Food and drink prices were not too high as compared with other places in London and in Camden
• My beef 'red enchiladas' were not badly cooked and were tasty enough
• So that cheese is less solid
• I won the Write for a Bite Zomato contest recently and was given some vouchers to use here
• I had a look and thought I'd probably be sorely disappointed as it was all a bit tex mex looking
• As well as bestowing you with a poncho if you're the one celebrating the birthday
• We just wanted something light as we were heading out for the evening so we got some chicken fajitas to share
• Hard to go wrong with fajitas (though I do remember Chiquitos managing to mess them up)
• Cheese etc there was really only enough for two fajitas although you could easily get four out of the chicken and onions served
• They let us take out as we were running late
• The staff were great joking around with us but also pretty efficient and aiming to please
• My fajitas were far too large to finish (sadly) but it was fantastic
• Rushed over when a mojito was too strong &
• Went here for dinner with a friend of mine
• Started out with Nachos and Jalapeno poppers both of them were great
• I was happy with my food but my friend was a little disappointed
• Cant remember the name but it was fried burrito filled with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce
• Staff are polite and outgoing which is lovely to see
• I had the BBQ ribs and wings which was a stonker of a meal
• Can't say some of my friends were so impressed though
• The atmosphere is extremely cheesy with sombrero hats and waiters singing happy birthday to customers
• Ay Caramba!! (Camden Town) is pretty full on but far from unpleasant
• Some cocktails are even blue and wonderfully strong
• The steak on my salad was nicely tender and rare
• Food came in big portions and the service was second to none
• Did their job with a smile on their faces
• Okay I went in here with zero expectations
• The two girls who served us were so friendly and helpful
• We started with some chorizo nachos which were delicious
• Cocktails arrived with the nachos
• My caipirinha was perfect one of the best I have had in London for sure
• A great place with good value for my money especially given its location
• It's a perfect cocktail place and is good for little nibbles and snacks such as nachos
• Never order chicken skewer the pineapple tastes rotten and the staffs response in dealing with the situation is truly and attarley apalling
• Its the sauce we use told him that it was a roten taste however i was informing him and not making a complaint in any circumstance there should compensate or give an alternative meal or not charge it
• We ordered a Havana iced tea and a margarita which were lovely and warming
• Lots of people arrived after us and it was busy when we left
• Chicken enchiladas and popcorn prawns which were lovely and light
• The bean dip with chorizo was so good
• I love Mexican grub but Ay Caramba!! (Camden Town) was perhaps not the best selection for date night with my significant other
• We entered and were enthusiastically met by a member of staff who offered us sombrero hats and a choice of seats
• The English of the staff was not perfect but the place was warm and friendly so no complaints there
• The vibe was very Mexican with load music to match
• I ordered a Mexican Cheese Burger but did not really enjoy it the bacon was too chewy for me
• In hindsight I could have asked for a new one or something else the staff were very accommodating
• We didn't bother with many sides
• The atmosphere is one of the best parts of eating here
• As the interior is styled to look like a traditional Mexican restaurant
• The walls are filled with colourful paintings and sombreros are dotted around the restaurant for you to wear
• The food is delicious and portions are well worth the money
• The menu itself is quite broad
• Particularly the cajun mushrooms and the classic nachos with the chuox bun for dessert
• As the restaurant is located on Camden's main high street
• The area is busy and filled with loads of restaurants with food from around the world
• I would recommend Ay Caramba to anyone who loves Mexican food that is not too expensive

• Ive always been a fan of mexican food and was looking forward to my visit to Ay Caramba in Camden
• The restaurant was really cosy and has tables downstairs
• The menu is plentiful with loads of different meats to try
• I settled for the beef barbacoa to begin with which was excellent
• The burritos was soft and the beef was nice and spicy
• My mains we ordered the Havana beach bbq to share and we were well stuffed by the end of it
• The tray included Bbq chicken and pork ribs which were the most filling
• The service was good and did well to explain the menu us
• The prices were also quite resonable
• The food is good here but none of the waitresses speak very good English so at first we wanted to order nachos just with cheese and have the salsa
• It took me 3 attempts to successfully order a diet coke rather than the bill which is what they thought I was asking
• The environment is nice anyways with Brazilian and Portuguese music playing the whole night since the staff is mostly Portuguese and entirely Spanish speaking
• I used to go here alot and liked it the last time I went (4 months ago) the food was raw and there were ants and flies on mine and my friends plate
• If you want to be Ill or want and experience like I'm a celebrity get me out of here then this is the place for you
