  • As my partner Sarupa is a vegetarian

  • Recently they appear to have broken away from being a closely guarded local secret and the message has got out that this is a vegetarian eatery of note

  • So I booked a table for dinner with high hopes

  • I had no idea where we were going as it was a birthday surprise

  • Given the almost left field location I was a little nervous but excited as we walked form the station to the restaurant

  • As we approached seeing it was a vegetarian restaurant made me feel really happy

  • Not that it is necessarily important to look swish

  • It all looked rather wonderful so I was very happy

  • Dinner after all is a sensory experience too&hellip

  • Cor could do with some updating&hellip

  • We soon saw the sign for 222 and I was pleasantly surprised

  • Entering the restaurant it was clean and well presented

  • In a non veg restaurant usually there is one or two choices which makes ordering pretty straightforward

  • Because I could order anything and everything I knew I was in for a treat

  • With interesting ingredients and combinations this looked like it was going to be a meal which would challenge my preconceptions of what a modern vegetarian restaurant is capable of

  • Colourful and certainly something that was thought about before it reached the table

  • There was a real flair in the way each dish was presented on the plate

  • Moreish and left me knowing what was to follow was going to be superb

  • As far as veggie restaurants go it is certainly a trail blazer

  • The starter and main were so good I actually had to turn down the dessert opportunity

  • Artichoke hearts beautifully cooked to perfection with herbs and a roasted pepper sauce

  • It is well textured and here it was served in a wonderfully rich cashew nut cream making it a perfect combination

  • T mention the pieces of oyster mushroom I found in the dish but they were a welcome addition

  • Adding more texture with the flavour of the mushroom making the dish even more special

  • It came served with brown rice which was perfect for mopping up the last puddles of sauce

  • The service was good and as expected

  • I really enjoyed the experience and the food was better than expected

  • T think this is a place for a special occasion as it does lack some &ldquo

  • It seems to me like most of the vegan places in London are very relaxed and have a&hellip

  • We got there in the early hours of the evening on Sunday and surprise surprise we were the first ones in

  • All the attention was on us until we were joined by more diners who seemed like they were locals

  • Shaking hands with the waiters and being very friendly

  • The restaurant is small but fits a lot of single and longer tables

  • S decorated with stripped back basic furniture and warm lighting

  • ) had been there before and said they do the best veggie burgers ever (Koray and Esin are you tempted

  • ) so without even looking at the menu he ordered that for his mains and we opted for the pitta bread with dips for starters

  • The pitta came promptly with 3 little dips including hummus

  • Soft on the inside and was cut into moreish strips which are very handy to dip into the&hellip

  • Their hummus was not as smooth as I tend to make mine but it didn&rsquo

  • Seeing as it was a Sunday I went for the vegan Sunday roast for my mains

  • As much as I was not interested in eating seitan (which is a gluten based alternative deceiving you into thinking you are eating meat

  • As we both read Satan) but it was flavoursome and tender

  • Cold dishes there was a bean and legume salad (the only other dish I actually enjoyed)

  • This review is only for Buffet 100% vegan restaurant

  • Keep your expectations low since a high ceiling and pretty lanterns are the only features to a cramped dining area

  • Price the niche food is an attraction

  • In Central London is truly a miracle

  • Only the cost alone is enough to entice a crowd of young people like us and food enthusiasts

  • I have been twice here and on both occasion I was given a time check

  • 222 Veggie Vegan (Fulham) is worth a visit or two

  • The platter is repeated every day makes one feel the niche is no longer niche

  • We felt happy for them that they are doing well

  • This is the only one we found where the spread is quite healthy as well

  • Table reservation is highly recommended

  • The spread is a combination of various cuisines

  • The chole is the best from Indian cuisine

  • My friend and I were at a seminar over the weekend

  • All of these people are looking after their health

  • I had everything that was on offer in the lunch buffet

  • I very rarely give such a high rating but this is the best place for veggies in London

  • The evening al la carte menu is great and offers good selection of healthy veggie/vegan fodder

  • The lunchtime buffet is the showpiece

  • Cold and raw foods that are healthy and delicious

  • There is plenty of food and the staff are friendly and helpful

  • The Vegan food was pretty good

  • Some reason service for us was quite slow

  • The restaurant is cosy but booking on a weekend is a must

  • We had the fresh carrot juice with ginger which was refreshing

  • Then we had the soup of the day which was fresh pumpkin cream soup which came with the letters 'enjoy' on it

  • The pita with three different dips was also fresh and tasty

  • The stroganoff was rich and creamy

  • Plus I was also guilty that people who had made reservations were still waiting for a table

  • Arrive early is what I would say

  • Friendly staff and delicious buffet worth waiting for the table as the restaurant is so busy during lunch time
