The Smugglers Cove (City Centre)

• A recent visit to the Living Ventures venue situated in Albert Dock was a real disappointment
• Chest of wings with Piri Piri and blue cheese dip &ndash
• Calamari with lemon mayonnaise were nice and crispy
• With plum and apple chutney was probably the pick of the starters with the apple chutney being the star
• Pan fried garlic mushrooms with crusty bread and truffle butter and smoked haddock fishcake with tartare sauce were both rather average and uninspiring
• The starters were a mixed bag but the mains we
• The houmous was a star of this galaxy of deli treats
• The only problem is you can never get a table so book in advance
• The sticky toffee pudding was outstanding
• Loved that there was so much choice and something for everyone
• The atmosphere and location are excellent and the food comes a close 3rd
• Had a great time service was great love Liverpool had the baked camembert with smoked bacon and hanging pork skewer amstel was nice and cold
