Mother India Cafe (West End)

• 4 5 plates between 2 people is ample and you'll be feeling spoilt for choice given the variety on the menu
• Everything was so tasty and it was clear this was Indian food done right
• Some of the best Indian food I have ever eaten
• When I learned I would be returning to Glasgow this was the first thing I put on my to do list
• Vibe and food was excellent the taste of the food was really good the spices
• I always start with a chilli chicken dosa followed by some dahl lentils
• Then chicken on the bone with another dish possibly a flavoursome king prawn dish for contrast
• Mother India Cafe (West End) was highly recommended by our Airbnb host and we cannot thank him enough
• The food here is very tasty and authentic
• We had the methi kheema mutter which was perfectly cooked
• I had monkfish and tiger prawns in tamarind marinade from the specials and was delighted with the result
• The prawns were very fresh and tasty
• Nothing wrong with it and last but certainly not the least we had the gulab jamun with vanilla ice cream and it made our day
• Juicy and hot jamun with vanilla goes perfectly well
• We went to the restaurant with high expectations given the excellent rating but we were disappointed with the poor quality of the food and the bad service from staff
• The daal was not flavorful as expected and the chicken was undercooked
• The breads were too thick and spongy
