They do this by providing the highest quality food served with friendly enthusiastic staff in a rustic yet modern restaurant
-
Timberyard is such a niche place sort of hidden away up the west end
-
Timberyard (Old Town) used to be a garage and was tranformed into a stylish urban restaurant
-
Their menu is great and it seems to have some seasonal changes
-
I highly suggest booking in advance as they are busy from lunch time through to closing
-
A friend of mine told me about this restaurant and thought I would go have dinner on my birthday with my gorgeous other half Sultana Malik
-
As we first walked in the atmosphere is very open and relaxed
-
Huge wooden door which made me feel like I was walking into the 'the great hall' from harry potter
-
The person who served us was very polite an explained a lot to us
-
The dinner setting was very country cabin Highlands vibe
-
Finished with a strawberry something dessert lol I forgot what it was but it was nice
-
All the dishes we ate were fresh and delicious
-
Firm favourites were definitely the jellied ham and the beetroot
-
The list of drinks is very tempting
-
The heating is being sorted out
-
I was rather disconcerted by the sounds in the loos which I took to be a dungeon with dripping water &ndash
-
One thing I hope will change is the black type on brown paper for the menus
-
Those of you with long memories
-
Those of you with even longer memories may know it was once prop store for the Royal Lyceum Theatre
-
Dating back to 1895 is now being transformed by the Radford family &ndash
-
All the family has been pitching in with the refurbishment
-
The focus for the new venue is quality local produce
-
T forget the Radfords were pioneers back in 1993 when they opened the Atrium to great acclaim in 1993
-
The kitchen is large with a huge amount of natural light
-
Ben is joined by brother Jo who will be running the bar and assisting with management and sister Abi
-
Wooden doors and windows that harmonise with the old brick
-
Blue was the sort of place you could eat in as a singleton or go with a crowd or the family
-
The daily menu is split into four categories
-
I did wonder whether this might put people off but then realised that if you were ordering a duck heart
-
Both the dishes were of a decent size
-
The texture and range of flavour was pretty spectacular and I had been introduced to some varieties of vegetable I wasn&rsquo
-
T familiar with but will look for in the future
-
T find a fault with any component
-
T think I can ever convey in a review just how good the food was in this restaurant
-
The flavours the kitchen manage to get out of this food is astounding
-
I am in love with the deco of Timberyard (Old Town)
-
The service was on point and so kind on understanding I couldn't eat any pork or ham
-
My previous visit was before I started my reviews and since then I have been waiting for an opportunity to go back
-
The restaurant is in a 19th century building
-
S industrial heritage but with a warm rustic feel to produce a memorable setting
-
The moment you walk through the big red swinging door you are greeted at the open bar and wood burning stove
-
My husband and I were seated at our table where tartan blankets covered the back of the chairs giving a snug
-
I was very taken by the industrial and minimal decor as well as its earthy feel I believe the place was a timeberyard in the days gone by
-
The service was friendly and very attentive
-
We chose the plaice and quail for our starters and they were beautifully presented and exquisite in taste
-
We shared dessert which was the cherry
-
My cocktail was truly amazing too
-
I know I've used so many cliches in this review but it simply cannot be helped when you are served some amazing food and drink
-
We had a lovely Saturday afternoon at Timberyard with tasting menu and matched drinks
-
I cheekily asked for a substitution from the honey and parsnip dessert and was delighted with my choice parsnip was a step to far for my companions
