Patisserie Maxime (West End)

• I think they are working on that
• If only Patisserie Maxime (West End) was closer to where I lived I would be there everyday
• With a killer sweet tooth it was inevitable that I would end up sampling some of the beautifully presented cakes that are in the window
• Instead enter a continental styled cafe with a feel that the world is going at a more leisurely pace
• Re looking for a touch of class and elegance with your breakfast
• S baguette is fresh and chewy
• I generally get the breakfast deal with a croissant and a hot drink for £
• Lunch deals are top notch as well
• Patesserie Maxime is a tiny bit of France in the heart of the city
• They also do catering events and more recently were at the French institute where we sampled more of their macarons
• I really like the ambience of Patesserie Maxime they play French music and the staff are very friendly
• Their macarons are amazing and come in delightful flavours
• On this occasion we were getting Galette des Rois which is a French tradition on the 12th night
• After taking them in and simply asking for the ones that were no good to be swapped I had the owner come out and start questioning me
• The funny thing is when he took a bite he agreed they were not good but that responded to me saying 'well what do u expect we are not a factory"
• I broke one in half to show him it was overcooked and he started complaining saying "
• Fantastic food and the staff was really helpful in helping choosing first our brunch and then our dessert to take home
• Well we cud see 2 tables with a reserved tag and another 3 vacant and no one waiting before us
• Located in the west end it is very close from Princes Street
• The cakes are to die for and the value for money is definitively there
