Mosque Kitchen Buffet & Takeaway (Old Town)

• Mosque Kitchen Buffet & Takeaway (Old Town) is okay but by seeing the menu I presume they have very limited dishes and its fixed every day
• The Mosque Kitchen is something of an institution in Edinburgh
• Ask anyone who was once a skint student in this magnificent city and they will be able to tell you
• About how wonderful the food is here and how reasonably priced it is
• Rice and lentils with lamb curry
• This was my second visit to Mosque Kitchen and I was just as satisfied as my first visit
• Being the first weekend of the Festival we were struggling to get a table anywhere
• We decided to try Mosque Kitchen because it is relatively big inside
• The service here is really quick
• 15 altogether and it was extremely filling
• Mosque Kitchen is the perfect place to grab a quick bite after work or before catching a show at the Festival
• 6 everything was flavourful and delicious
• The chicken curry is just awesome
• The lamb rogan Josh and dal tadka is also recommendable
• Mosque kitchen is an example of a restaurant which has surprised me for the positive
• It has a fantastic communal atmosphere with welcoming staff which isn't greedy on the food portions they serve
• It incorporates the deep flavour of lamb with spicy indian seasonings on a rich tomato base Nothing better in a rainy day
• The dining area is quite large and spacious
• (Doesn't matter much when you are having a scrumptious asian meal at a pocket friendly rate)
• The only thing for which I am giving it 4 star rating is that they do not have any combo meal without rice
• I wanted to eat Nan with mutton curry but to have that
• If you think a supermarket meal deal is NOT a proper lunch
• All those Indians in Edinburgh this is such a relief
• Very cheap and perfect for those times when you wanted a big eat because the portion was huge (if you can't finish it
• You can bring the leftover home perfect for when I was a broke uni student)
• Tried chicken seekh kebab for a pound and half each and I was not disappointed at all
• I often eat out Indian food with an apprehension that it would not taste close to an authentic Indian food
• It soon changed with the first bite of it
• Unfortunately no pic this time as was busy enjoying the authentic taste of chicken sekh kebab
• Suggested by zomato we went to Mosque Kitchen Buffet & Takeaway (Old Town) and were absolutely happy to get some good amount of food at less price
• The place is very basic and the ambience is also very basic
• If you are looking just to fill your stomach with some good food then this is the place to go
• Though the staff was a bit not so concerned about us we were okay with it
