-
Some of the best in Edinburgh

When I last visited on a sunny day during the Fringe it was perfect to take our ice creams outside and sit in the Grassmarket with views of the Castle
-
While not the most adventurous of choices it was absolutely delicious
-
The milkshake was extremely dense and the flavour
-
The lady in front of me opted for a hot chocolate which came with a massive scoop of rose flavoured gelato and looked and smellled absolutely delicious
-
Mary herself is usually behind the counter with a smile
-
Pictured is the white hot chocolate with cardamom served with a scoop of salted caramel ice cream
-
My one criticism is that I think sometimes the flavours are just too subtle
-
When it comes to ice cream and milkshake Mary's Milk Bar is the place to be

) I only had ice cream from Mary's but it is probably one of the best ice creams I've had in Edinburgh
-
I'm not being over rated about Mary's but this is the best sweet tooth addiction I have ever been to
-
Also it is top class ice cream the lemon curd and almond is one of the best ice creams I have ever tasted
-
I've been lucky enough to stumble in when they were doing Whisky and ginger
-
Hot chocolate and gelato floats are their specialty
-
I had a milk hot chocolate and orange float with peanut butter ice cream and it was utterly divine
-
Nice but everything is very over priced
-
Also don't go during the festival as they are on a 2000% profit margin at this time
-
Friendly staff and delicious hot chocolate floats (rich hot chocolate with a scoop of your choice of specialty ice cream)
-
Cute little place with such good gelato
-
Mary's iced cream flavours are always delightful

Many recommendations of Mary's Milk Bar (Old Town) is what bought me here
-
I forgot to take a picture of the ice cream which is very stupid but the interior is well done
-
Mary herself makes fresh flavours every day that are often bizarre and unique yet infinitely better than you could ever imagine
-
My favourite flavour so far is peaches and cream but everything else has also been delightful
-
Because the texture of the ice cream in general is much more enjoyable
