Bengal Spice (Leith)

• You know when you just cant be bothered cooking so the only other option is to get take away
• We've been searching for the last 18 months for great Chinese and Indian take aways and as yet there are no clear contenders
• We choose Bengal Spice as it is close to where we live
• We ordered the Chicken Pakora which is meant to be chicken with spices cooked in a tandoor then deep fried
• I think they forgot to deep fry them as they were tasteless and very dry and rather shrivelled up pieces of bright red coated chicken
• This was very tasty indeed and there was a lot of chicken
• Lamb cooked with fenugreek and spices
• Extremely tender but it was hot with very few layers of taste
• Chicken kebab style dish with lots of ginger and coriander
• This was tasty with the heat hitting your mouth right at the end
• Accompaniments were Pashwari Naan which was thicker than most previous naan breads
• This take away is fair to good
