Prana Indian Restaurant (Cambridge)

• I visited Prana three times so far and my first visit was an invitation to the relaunch
• When Prana was first purchased it operated as a tiny Chinese and Indian takeaway while Kobir continued his job as a banker
• Then it was a proper restaurant but it was limited by a very small space with seating in the basement
• A decision was made to close the restaurant and extend it significantly
• Being a BONG from Calcutta in Eastern England was starved of Bengali food for quite some time
• Looked through Zomato and was quite pleasantly surprised to find a bengali restaurant in the heart of cambridge
• The manager/propeitor Kobir Ahmed was warm and greeted us
• After getting a table and browsing through the menu was appalled to see the price in the actual menu to be higher than the one mentioned in Zomato
• The chicken biryani was bland and the a semblance of spices hadn't been infused neither into the chcicken nor in the rice
• The lamb biryani was edible to say the least
• The biryanis were served with SAUCE
• Was nothing but a curry of vegetables and potatoes just the kind one is usually offered as a side dish with Kochuri
